After you have selected a set of Microsoft® glossaries to be searched you may enter any search term you would like to find in the box on the right of the glossaries list:
The search has 3 buttons and 3 advanced options. Their functions are explained below:
Search button. Starts a new search. The search stops after looking for a term in all glossaries, or after 10 first terms are found. If you would like to search for additional terms (and the Search Results panel contains the More Results Available notice) use the More Results button instead.
More Results button. Continues search.
Stop button. Interrupts the search in progress. Results which you have found so far are displayed.
Source/target option. With WinLexic you may choose whether you would like to search for a term in a source or target part.
Whole word option. If you select this option, the search will ignore glossary entries, which do not represent the search term as a whole word e.g. Cancellation will be skipped during search for Cancel.
Case-sensitive option. When checked, it will ignore strings, which contain search terms but do not correspond to them exactly e.g. it will skip cancel during search for Cancel.
And option. Enables you to perform complex searches for glossary entries which contain 2 or more search phrases.
Below you can see example of search results with all options selected:
